*10-12 stalks of rhubarb, cleaned and chopped
*1 lemon, unpeeled and chopped
*1 lime, unpeeled and chopped
*1-2 oranges, unpeeled and chopped
*1 piece of fresh ginger root, about 1-2" piece, chopped
Add all ingredients to a large pot and simmer over a low heat until the mixture is mush, about an hour. (stirring now and then of course)
Place a colander over a large bowl or pot and line with a piece of cheese cloth.
Pour mixture into colander and strain. Gather up edges of cloth and wring tightly pressing with a flat spatula to strain out all the juice.
Pour nectar into jars or bottles and refrigerate or freeze.
(tip: freeze in ice cube trays for individual serving sizes)

1 part rhubarb nectar
3 parts tonic water or club soda

(1 part vodka-optional)

You beat me by a rhubarb country mile with this fabulous illustrated recipe that looks like it came straight from the pages of a Martha Stewart magazine...only better. Now when people ask me for the recipe, I going to steer them over to your blog...I can't top that!
